Ruby Red Mustang GT arrived on 1st April 2017 as the intended replacement for the BMW Z4. Automatic headlights, dual zone air conditioning, Ford SYNC 3, dipping rear view mirror, folding door mirrors, cruise control, keyless entry, engine start/stop button, rear view camera & front fog lights all come as standard.

5 litre (4951cc), 32 valve, V8 engine drives its 416bhp through a six speed automatic transmission, with steering wheel paddles, to the rear wheels via a limited slip diff.

Ebony leather interior trim with multi-function steering wheel and electric front seats including driver's side adjustable lumbar support.

Custom Pack brings climate controlled (heated and cooled) front seats, Shaker Pro 12 speaker audio system/SatNav with boot mounted sub-woofer and reverse parking sensors.

Custom Pack also includes side window chrome surrounds and 19" lustre nickel alloy wheels.

Faults

On selecting the audio Aux input and selecting the connected iPod the screen froze completely. The radio continued playing but none of the controls, either dash or steering wheel mounted including the power button, would operate and the screen remained frozen. Even stopping the car and switching everything off had no effect, the screen remained on and frozen! Having exhausted all approaches I was in the process of ringing Ford Assist when the screen reset of its own accord. The 'fault' has not re-occured. Strange!
